Downed Power Lines Cause Road Closure In Aurora: PD

AURORA, IL — Church Road is closed Friday morning between Butterfield and Bilter roads due to downed power lines, Aurora police said.

ComEd is on the scene working to restore service, as of a Facebook alert shared by police at 9:45 a.m. The closure is expected to affect traffic for "several hours," officials said.

Aurora officers are on site to help with traffic control while the road is closed. Police are asking drivers to plan ahead and follow posted detours to help keep the area clear for ComEd crews and first responders.
