Early Morning Fire In Aurora Caused by "Improperly Discarded Smoking Materials": Fire Department

The fire occurred on the city's southeast side

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Aurora Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a two-story house on the 2800 block of Coastal Drive, according to a department press release.

A crew of ten firefighters quickly put out the fire, which was caused by "improperly discarded smoking materials." There were no injuries and the damage was estimated at $5,000.
