Family Of Missing Aurora MMA Fighter Seeks Help With Search

Trevon Lawson was last seen on April 16 and has been diagnosed with depression in the past but his family says he is dedicated to his sport.

AURORA, IL — The family of a missing mixed martial arts fighter who has not been seen in two weeks is asking for the public’s help locating him.

Trevon Lawson lives in Aurora but also spends time in Schaumburg and Oswego and has not been seen since April 16. Lawson, who answers to both Tre and to his fighting stage name, The Last Shinobi, is the Ignite MMA 155-pound champion, and was last seen in Schaumburg wearing black pants and a gray or black hoodie, his family said.

He did not report to work on April 17 and has not been heard from since authorities said.

He was driving a tan/gold 2003 Nissan Altima sedan, his family said, and although he has dealt with depression issues in the past, his family said Lawson is known for his elite-level dedication to his sport, family and friends.

Lawson is 5-foot-8, weighs 155 pounds, and has brown eyes.
