1st Baby Of 2025 Born At Rush Copley Medical Center

A baby born to a Plainfield couple was the first to come into the world in 2025 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

AURORA, IL — A Plainfield couple was the first to welcome a newborn baby at Rush Copley Medical Center in 2025.

Lukas Kuras arrived at 2:06 a.m. Jan. 1. He weighed 8 pounds and 8 ounces and measured 21.75 inches.

The baby boy was born to parents Rachael Dewitt and Tomas Kuras. He joins his older siblings, twins Blaise and Scarlett.
