Man Charged With Aggravated Sexual Assault Arrested In Aurora
The U.S. Marshal's Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a 22-year-old man facing sexual assault charges on Jan. 31.
AURORA, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that a man wanted for aggravated criminal sexual assault was arrested shortly after 5:30 a.m. in Aurora by members of the U.S. Marshal's Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. The task force is composed of police from multiple sheriffs' offices around the Great Lakes, including one deputy from Kendall County.
A press release stated that Noah Rodriguez, the 22-year-old man who was arrested, has been wanted by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office since Dec. 7, 2019. He is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, a class-X felony, the most serious class of crime in Illinois except for first-degree murder. If found guilty, he could spend between six and 60 years in prison and be made to pay a $25,000 fine.
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on how Rodriguez was found and apprehended, except to say that it was the result of a long investigation.

"At this point pretty much all I can say is that the arrest was based on information that was gathered over the course of the investigation," Kendall County Sheriff's public information officer Daniel Briars said.
Rodriguez is currently being held in the Kendall County Jail without bond. At time of publication, no initial court date has been set, according to Kendall County Circuit Court records.

All charges against Rodriguez are merely accusations and he is considered innocent until proven guilty.
