North Aurora Brewery Wins At 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship
The award winner is a crisp, dry and hoppy brew with a dry malt body.
NORTH AURORA, IL — Brother Chimp Brewing clinched a medal at this year's U.S. Open Beer Championship.
Located in North Aurora, the brewery won a silver medal in the Italian-style pilsener category for Antonio, a crisp, dry and hoppy brew with a dry malt body.
"Huge cheers to our head brewer, Sam & our assistant brewer, Kevin, for crafting a pilsner so crisp, so balanced, and so dang delicious that it had the judges raising their glasses in approval," the brewery wrote in a celebratory post on Facebook.

Unfortunately for beer lovers, the brewery said Antonio is sold out but suggested the New Zealand-style pilsener Haka, which was released last weekend, as an alternative.
Other Illinois breweries that won medals in this year's championship included Brothership Brewing in Mokena, Adams Street Brewery in Chicago and Werk Force Brewing Co. in Plainfield.
