RV's Home of the Hoagy will open a new location just south of Indian Trail in Aurora. The restaurant will replace Long John Silver's, at 1165 N. Lake St.
Owner Bill Yarbrough wanted to pay homage to his hometown and his family’s former restaurant, the Chicago Tribune reports.
"I really wanted to do something in Aurora," Yarbrough said in the story. “The original Home of the Hoagy became ‘pretty famous,’” he said.

The original Home of the Hoagy was ran by Yarbrough’s great uncle and grandfather on Chicago’s South Side about 60 years ago.
According to their Facebook page, the restaurant’s signature dish is the famous "meal on a bun,” a hoagy consisting of chopped steak, green peppers, and onions smothered in tangy mild sauce with a side of sweet or hot peppers and cheese.
