Teens Charged After 2 Eola Road Businesses Burglarized: Aurora Police
Two 18-year-old Aurora men are facing charges after two businesses were damaged during burglaries, police said.

AURORA, IL — Two 18-year-old men are in custody in connection with two burglaries Nov. 7 at businesses on South Eola Road, Aurora police said Monday morning.
Aurora police were dispatched at about 2:13 a.m. to the 2300 block of South Eola Road for an activated business alarm. The alarm company attempted to cancel the response, officials said, but units continued to "confirm the property's security."
When officers arrived, they found damage indicating forced entry and saw a vehicle leaving the area. Police conducted a traffic stop and found items "connecting the occupants to the scene," according to a news release. Officials did not say which businesses were targeted or what was stolen.

Andrew G. Gajdalo and Brevin S. Koering are facing felony charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools. Gajdalo was also issued an additional charge of criminal damage to property after an initial investigation indicated the two men targeted two businesses that showed damage consistent with a burglary, police said.
"Evidence at the scene supported the arrests and subsequent felony charges against both suspects," officials said.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office approved the charges against the men, who were taken to the Aurora Police Department for processing and issued a future court date.
"This case reflects the kind of attentiveness and sound judgment that defines our department," Police Chief Matt Thomas said in a statement. "Our officers trusted their instincts, followed up, and ultimately stopped those responsible. Property crimes may not always make headlines, but they directly impact our residents and business owners — which is why they remain a continued focus for us across the community."
Aurora police continue investigating the burglaries and are asking anyone with information to contact the investigations division at 630-256-5500.
