Touche French Creole Extends Hours With New Happy Hour

The restaurant, which opened earlier this year, held a trial run of happy hour in July before deciding to offer it permanently.

AURORA, IL — Touche French Creole is extending its hours with the introduction of happy hour.

From 3-5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Aug. 27, guests can enjoy crafted cocktails and small bites in the restaurant's New Orleans-inspired atmosphere.

During happy hour, cocktails will cost $8. Short rib sliders, Voodoo tomoatoes, plantains and truffle fries will be served, ranging in price from $7-$12. Regular dinner service will begin at 5 p.m.

Previously, the restaurant at 6 N. River St. opened at 5 p.m. from 5-9 p.m. daily, with the addition of brunch hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends. Owned by chef-and-partner duo Rayshawn Hendricks and Keonte' Tooles, the restaurant is part of JH Hospitality Group, which also oversees Giardino Trattoria & Pizzeria.

"We decided to go ahead with our Happy Hour after a very successful trial run last month," Sarah Cervantes, who handles design and marketing for the restaurant group, told Patch.

The new happy hour gives restaurant-goers more opportunities to "enjoy the flavors and atmosphere that have made Touché a standout in Aurora’s growing restaurant scene," Cervantes wrote in a news release.

"Happy Hour is about creating an atmosphere and vibe where people feel comfortable relaxing into the evening," Bar manager Marshon Crowder said in a statement. "We are excited to bring more opportunities for the community to connect and enjoy what we are building in Downtown Aurora."
