Vandalism in Aurora Continues

Police only have vague descriptions of suspects that may have committed 30 acts of vandalism since late December

The Aurora Police department has received 30 reports of vandalism between Dec. 27 and Jan. 30, according to their Facebook page.

Most cases were vehicle windows smashed with a blunt object or shot out with a pellet or BB gun. Five residences, one garage and a business have also been hit, seven mailboxes have been damaged, and several street signs have been pulled from the ground.

The crimes appear to be occurring in the late night or overnight hours.

Police believe these crimes are related. "The only suspect descriptions we have at this time is that a small, black vehicle, similar to a Honda Civic or CRX, may be involved. One of the victims said that he also saw a female and two males pulling up street signs. He could provide no further description of the female and could only see that the males were around six feet tall and weighed between 180 and 200 pounds," according to police.

The total damage is estimated to exceed $12,100.
