AURORA, IL — An Aurora student, recently featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, was given a huge chunk of change on the show after her hilarious entry in Ellen's Starbucks Rewards Surprise Contest.

The video shows Brynn Drews, 16, getting a $10,000 check from the famous comedian and host on her show less than a week after a medical procedure that started it all.

Drews won the contest by submitting a video of herself after getting her wisdom teeth out, asking her mom if they could go to Starbucks and pay for the people behind them as a part of DeGeneres's contest to pay it forward, or backward, to a stranger. Hilarity ensues.

Still in a daze from her procedure, Drews makes the suggestion to go to Starbucks and send her a video on EllenTube "then I can, then I can... I forgot," she says.

After making her payment at the Starbucks drive-through for the person behind, she says "that was nice of me."

On the show, Ellen asked Drews if coming on her show was on her bucket list.

"This is — this is it," Drews said, still ecstatic to be on stage with Ellen. "I mean, I've peaked," she said, grinning.

In addition to the $10,000, Drews will head back to Ellen's studio for a VIP viewing of the star's birthday show.

Drews is a sophomore at Waubonsie Valley High School.
