Woman Arrested For Alleged 100 M.P.H. Street Race In Aurora
She was arrested in the early morning hours of Feb. 18

Aurora Police arrested Yadira Rodriguez after an officer estimated her to be driving in excess of 100 miles per hour in the early morning hours of Feb. 18, according to Aurora Police Spokesman Dan Ferrelli and the Beacon News. The 28-year-old Oswego woman was charged with driving under the influence and street racing.
An Aurora Police officer saw two vehicles racing near the intersection of East New York Street and North Loucks Street. The officer, in a fully marked police car, estimated that the two vehicles were traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour.
The officer turned on his lights and sirens. One of the vehicles stopped at a red light at Ohio Street, while the other vehicle continued against the traffic signal. The officer followed that vehicle until it stopped near the intersection of Fulton Street and North Smith Street. Police then determined that Rodriguez was showing signs of impairment.

Rodriguez booked just after 2:30 a.m. A 28-year-old man was also in the car with Rodriguez, but police did not release any information about him.
According to Kendall County Court Records, Rodriguez pled guilty to driving under the influence in 2013. She was order to pay a nearly $2,000 fine.
