30th Anniversary Chicago Select Golf Invitational Delivers Landmark Success for Cancer Research
American Cancer Society to End Cancer as We Know It, for Everyone

December, 1, 2025 -- Barrington,IL -- On August 18, 2025, the Chicago Select Golf Invitational marked a remarkable milestone: three decades of impact in the fight against cancer. Held at the historic Medinah Country Club, the event welcomed more than 450 supporters across all three courses, who helped raise an astounding $2 million for lifesaving cancer research. The anniversary celebration not only surpassed expectations but also reaffirmed the event’s standing as one of the nation’s premier charity golf events.
From start to finish, the atmosphere was electric. Golfers enjoyed ideal weather, a thoughtfully curated player gift package, and a standout silent and live auction. Engaging on-course activations added memorable touches throughout the day, elevating an already exceptional experience on the course.
Following the tournament, attendees gathered for an inspiring dinner program featuring Eddie Olczyk—Hockey Hall of Famer, former Chicago Blackhawk, and nationally recognized sports broadcaster. Eddie delivered a moving account of his personal journey as a Stage III colon cancer survivor. His message of resilience and hope served as a powerful reminder of why this event matters and the lives it touches.
