• Girls basketball: Hersey pulls away from Fremd for win a long time in the making (dailyherald.com) — Hersey’s girls basketball team snapped Fremd’s long Mid-Suburban League division winning streak, a run that dated back to Fremd’s last division loss against Barrington in January 2022. The fast-paced matchup in Palatine featured a huge fourth quarter from Hersey senior Kate Donovan, whose 26 points and late playmaking sealed a 66-56 win over the Vikings.
