3 Alderman Races To Watch In Batavia: See Unofficial 2025 Results
See which candidates running for alderperson appear to have been voted into Batavia City Council in Tuesday's consolidated election.

BATAVIA, IL — Although all eyes were on the mayoral race in Batavia, where longtime incumbent Jeffery Schielke clinched another term over challenger Thomas Connelly, voters also cast their ballots for new City Council representatives.
The majority of alderperson races in Batavia were unopposed. In the race for the four-year Ward 4 term, incumbent Dustin Pieper retained his seat over challenger Douglas Eldrenkamp. No incumbents ran in the Ward 5 race, where James Fahrenbach appears to have overtaken Garran Dewain Sparks.
Similarly in Ward 6, newcomers Matthew Anderson and Kate Cuneo battled it out, with Anderson securing more votes than Cuneo.

- Douglas Eldrenkamp: 38.02 percent (165 votes)
- Dustin Pieper: 61.98 percent (269 votes)
Ward 5
- James Fahrenbach: 72.47 percent (516 votes)
- Garran Dewain Sparks: 27.53 percent (196 votes)
Ward 6
- Matthew Anderson: 53.54 percent (431 votes)
- Kate Cuneo: 46.46 percent (374 votes)
