Batavia Police Reveal Citations Issued In Memorial Day Campaign

BATAVIA, IL — The Batavia Police Department issued 37 citations during its Memorial Day enforcement campaign, officials announced Tuesday.

The police department joined state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to participate in a "Click It or Ticket" campaign from May 16-27.

Officials said they made 43 traffic stops. Violations included speeding, distracted driving, driving with a suspended license and other infractions.

The campaign was funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
