Celebrate Dolly Parton's 76th With $76 Batavia Beer Dinner

BATAVIA, IL — Dolly Parton is turning 76 on Jan. 19. Wherever she might be celebrating, you can join her in spirit at a birthday party hosted in her honor at The Sidecar Supper Club.

Priced at $76 — "just like Dolly," the event's description reads — per person, guests will indulge in an elaborate five-course, southern-inspired meal paired with brews from Penrose Brewing.

Featured dishes will include the likes of biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits. The feast wouldn't be complete without Dolly Parton's favorite dessert. While the event description doesn't mention exactly what that is, we can venture a guess and say banana pudding.

The restaurant joins up with Geneva-based Penrose Brewing to offer paired dinners once a month. This one is no different — aside from the fact it's celebrating the iconic singer's birthday — and beers featured will include five variations, including one brewed for the dinner.

Brews include: G-Rado, a table beer; Coffee Stout, made with Kindred Coffee; Dryft, an IPA; Schwartzbier, brewed for this dinner; and Double Barrel Wild 10, made in 2018.

Sidecar Supper Club, located at 12 N. River St., will be open from from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Jan. 19.
