How School Employees Can Get Free Movie Tickets This Summer

A movie theater company is offering free tickets to educators and school staff this summer.

BATAVIA, IL — Educators and school staff will have several chances to see movies for free this summer at the Emagine theater in Batavia.

July is Educator Appreciation month, and Emagine Entertainment, the company that operates the Batavia cineplex, is saying "thank you" by offering free movie tickets to school employees for four days in July.

Movies including "Jurassic World Rebirth," "Superman" and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" are just three blockbusters scheduled to hit the big screen in July.

Educators can stop by the theater, 550 N. Randall Road, to snag their free pass at the box office on the day of the screening. Since proof of school employment is required, online advance tickets won't be available for the promotion. Staff are limited to one ticket on each valid day.

The offer isn't valid for premium large format showings or special events, the company said.

Besides Batavia, Emagine also operates a theater in Frankfort. Outside of Illinois, it runs 14 theaters across Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
