BATAVIA, IL — The holidays are over, and ever-so-popular light shows have closed for the season. But in Batavia, families can hike illuminated trails and learn what snowmen get up to at night as part of the third-annual Frosty Fest.
Hosted by the Fox Valley Park District, Frosty Fest will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 29. Children and adults of all ages are invited to hike on self-guided trails to explore winter scenes at Red Oak Nature Center, located at 2343 S. River St. in Batavia.
After hiking in the cold, visitors can warm up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and a roasted marshmallow.
