Gas Leak On South Raddant Road Causes Street Closures In Batavia

Batavia officials are asking locals to avoid a segment of South Raddant Road due to a gas leak Wednesday afternoon.

BATAVIA, IL — A portion of South Raddant Road is closed Wednesday afternoon due to a gas leak, Batavia officials said in an alert at 12:37 p.m.

The roadway is shut down from Norcross Drive south to Mark Twain Trail. The intersection of South Raddant Road and Edwards Drive is also closed.

The closures will affect traffic for Rotolo Middle School, officials said, advising parents to pick up students by entering the parking lot from Papermill Hill Drive from the west.
