Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl Raises Money For Local Nonprofit

BATAVIA, IL — 'Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters and holiday bar crawls. If both are your speed, a combination of the two is slated for Thursday at a slew of bars in downtown Batavia.

Presented by The Comedy Vault, the inaugural Batavia Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl is scheduled to start at Sidecar Supper Club and Beer Garden at 5 p.m. and end with a dueling pianos show at Comedy Vault, which starts at 9 p.m.

Part of the proceeds made at the crawl will go toward Valley Sheltered Workshop, a local nonprofit aimed at providing job opportunities for people with disabilities.

Here's a full schedule for the night:

• 5 p.m. — Sidecar, 12 N. River St.
• 6 p.m. — Bar Evolution, 27 N. River St.
• 7 p.m. — Wilson Street Tavern, 105 E. Wilson St.
• 8 p.m. — Bulldogs Cellar Bar, 1 E. Wilson St.
• 9 p.m. — The Comedy Vault, 18 E. Wilson St.

"Find your favorite ugly sweaters, Santa suits, elf costumes or holiday onesies & come dashin' through the bars this holiday season," organizers wrote on Facebook.

No reservations are required for the event, and there will be no cover charge.
