2 Men Mugged, Shot at On Washtenaw Avenue
One shot was fired and two men were robbed in the 11400 block of Washtenaw Avenue.

Two men were mugged and one shot was fired late Monday night in the 11400 block of Washtenaw Avenue.
Around 11 p.m. a man arrived at his friend's house on the block and was approached by two men wearing plastic masks and carrying guns, according to Chicago News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
The resident of the home had come outside and was ordered to the ground by the men with guns, Zala said. They robbed the men of their wallets and took one cell phone.
The men then fled down the street at which time one of the victims began to chase after them, Zala said. One of the offenders then turned and fired once at their pursuer, who was not hit.
The men got into a white late 90's model four-door sedan and drove eastbound on 114th Street.
One of the victims contacted Patch because he wanted his neighbors to be aware of the incident and to keep their eyes open for similar crimes. The victim says he believes the two men were parked at the end of the block and were waiting for someone to arrive home or walk outside.
The afternoon after the crime, the victim says he is still a little shaken up, but more then anything wants community members to be aware.
The victim describes the offenders as black males in their 20s of about medium build and in the area of six feet tall.
