It was still "a great day to be a Cougar" as all "We Are SXU Day" celebrations occurred from away from the school.

CHICAGO — March 25 was "We Are SXU" Day, a yearly event celebrated by alumni of Saint Xavier University on the South Side. Although all in-person gatherings were of course canceled or not even planned for the 2020 event due to the coronavirus pandemic, a number of alums still celebrated from home.

"Our celebration via social media was a success – we flooded our feeds with scarlet and grey," said Erin Mueller, associate vice president of university advancement. "Thanks to the alumni and friends who shared touching memories and inspirational support for our students and community. "

Many shared their own personal messages on Twitter.
