BEVERLY RIDGE LIONS CLUB held a FREE vision & hearing event

The motto the 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 is “𝗪𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲”. Lions provide assistance to many causes, but our North Stars pertain to Vision and Hearing. Your local Lions Club prioritizes serving the needs of their local community, so for the Beverly Ridge Lions Club, it’s natural for them to look for ways to serve the Beverly community. To gain further leverage when serving the community, they team up with other local organizations.

Recently, the club teamed up with the 95th Street Business Association and coordinated with them to provide free vision and hearing tests at their Farmer’s Market event on Sunday, June 29th. The Lions of Illinois Foundation supplied a truck outfitted to provide these testing services. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝟱𝟬 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙗'𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡, the Beverly Ridge Lions plan to make this an annual event. A big thanks to Davia Douglas, the Executive Director of the 95th Street Business Association, and all of the Beverly Ridge Lions Club members who contributed time to advertise the event and support on the day of the testing.

If one is interested in supporting this sort of service, please consider joining the Beverly Ridge Lions Club. They typically meet twice a month on Monday evenings at 115th Bourbon Street. They look forward to their neighbors helping with service projects, including supporting them on October 11th during their annual Lions Club Candy Day fundraising for blind and deaf services.
