CHICAGO — It will be Christmastime in the city Friday, Dec. 6, for the Mt. Greenwood Holiday Stroll, showcasing neighborhood businesses from 4 to 7 p.m. Over 30 businesses on 111th Street from Sacramento to Pulaski will be offering special deals, characters, music, raffles and much more.

The stroll is being sponsored and organized by the Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association. It’s a chance to showcase the array of independently owned businesses in the community, and get shoppers out of the big box stores and malls to support neighborhood businesses and services.

More than half of the businesses in Mount Greenwood have been in the community for more than 30 years. Many businesses and restaurants are also offering gift card deals, discounts, hot cocoa, treats, libations, photo booths and free samples.
