Crime in Mount Greenwood and Beverly Near Lowest in Chicago
According to crime data from September, the Beverly and Mount Greenwood neighborhoods have some of the lowest crime rates in Chicago.
Mount Greenwood and Beverly had some of the lowest crime rates in Chicago, according to a database published by the Chicago Tribune.
Out of 77 neighborhoods, Beverly and Mount Greenwood were tied for the second lowest rate of violent crimes for the time period of Sept. 6 to Oct. 6, according to the data.
Mount Greenwood saw two violent crimes (a robbery and battery), while Beverly had three robberies. Beverly also had the lowest amount of "quality of life crimes" in the city, with just eight criminal damage to property reports filed. There were no narcotics incidents in Beverly for that time period.

Mount Greenwood came in 73rd out of 77 for the number of property crimes.
Crime in Morgan Park was down slightly from August to September. Morgan Park ranked in the bottom half for violent and property crimes.
