Open House and Fun Day at Merrionette Park Fire Department

The Merrionette Park fire Department will be hosting its annual Family Fun Day and Open House, including a Roll of Honor for all firefighter line of duty deaths from 2011 for the public on Sunday Oct 7^th, 2012 from 11am-2pm at our station at 3165 W. 115^th street.

The Merrionette Park FD along with the Merrionette Park Firefighters Association will be hosting the open house to promote fire safety through the community, explain the various job requirements, illustrate the advantages of home fire sprinklers and allow the public to personally meet the firefighters that serve them.

The day will be filled with a multitude of activities and demonstrations for our visitors including the opportunity to dress up like a firefighter, explore the different apparatus, tour the station, a live fire and home sprinkler demonstration, and a Jaws of Life demonstration.
