Gyro Grill Will Donate 'Golden Gyro' Sales Saturday To Danny Golden
Gyro Grill in Mount Greenwood will be selling "Golden Gyros" and T-shirts this Saturday, with proceeds benefiting CPD Officer Danny Golden.

CHICAGO — Gyro Grill will be hosting “Fight Like A Golden Day” this Saturday, July 30. Stop in at the Mount Greenwood restaurant at 3660 W. 111th St. anytime from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The restaurant is offering a “Golden Gyro” sandwich for $8. Gryo Grill Golden T-shirts will also be on sale for $25. All proceeds from takeout orders will be donated directly to CPD Officer Danny Golden, who has a long recovery ahead from gunshot wounds.
“The hardest part is he’s a neighborhood kid from Mount Greenwood,” owner Maureen Karuntzos said, “My husband is a Chicago police sergeant, so anything involving the police, we support it.”

Cash is preferred for Golden Gyro orders, so proceeds can be turned over directly to Golden, but “if not I’ll write a check” Karuntzos said.
Gyro Grill serves up Greek street food, including such authentic items as charbroiled pork souvlaki and fresh baked desserts, to unique Greek fusion twists such as saganaki sticks and Gyrolls.
