Joey’s Red Hots Holds ‘Eat For Golden’ Day Thursday

Joey's Red Hots in Morgan Park will be donating 100 percent of food sales to CPD Officer Danny Golden's family all Thursday, Aug. 4.

CHICAGO — Joey’s Red Hots in Morgan Park is hosting “Eat for Golden Day,” Thursday, Aug. 4. All food proceeds will be donated to the family of Chicago Police Officer Danny Golden.

Joey’s, 11500 S. Western Ave., Chicago, offers a savory menu of hot dogs, char-broiled burgers, Philly cheese steaks, supreme tacos, salads, starters, fries, onion rings, cheese curds and more. The hot dog joint is donating 100 percent of all food sales to the police officer who was shot while off duty last month trying to break up a fight outside a bar.

Golden is facing a long recovery and is currently in a rehabilitation facility. Stop by Joey’s anytime Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and “Eat For Golden.”
