Cook County Correctional Officer

The Cook County Sheriff's Office is hiring correctional officers. This is the first step of a process that would next include a test. An application fee of $25 is required and detailed instructions on how to apply can be found on the office's site. 

City of Chicago

With warmer weather on the horizon a number of seasonal and regular jobs with the city have been posted. Departments with openings include water management and transportation. Other positions include analyst, librarian, laborer and seasonal plumber. To apply, residents must create a candidate profile online at http://www.cityofchicago.org/CAREERS. Math Tutor

The Mathnasium Learning Center, 9834 S. Western Ave., is looking for instructors. They would like to hire instructors from the area. Administrative Assistant

Morgan Park Academy, 2153 W. 111th Street, is currently accepting applications for a part-time administrative assistant. The administrative assistant provides a high level of administrative support. Chicago Ridge Mall

Readers report that there are a number of job openings at retail stores in Chicago Ridge Mall. To apply visit each store's website or apply in person. Those with posted openings include Payless Shoes and Forever 21. 

Fifth Third Bank

Fifth Third Bank in Oak Lawn is hiring a part-time retail payment processor. The position is for Saturdays and Sundays. U-Haul in Alsip

The location at 11855 A. Cicero Ave. has the and opening for a customer care representative. Duties include operating a foreklift and loading cargo as well as customer assistance and paperwork.
