Mason Johnson, Accused of Stabbing His Father to Death, Held Without Bail
Prosecutors say that the Morgan Park man stabbed his father to death because he was nagged about cleaning.

Legal proceedings against Mason Johnson, 24, are just beginning as the Morgan Park man faces a first-degree murder charge stemming from the March 24 death of his father.
Police say that around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday night both Mason Johnson and his father Kenneth Johnson, 49, were taken to Christ Medical Center from their home on the 11400 block of South Rockwell Avenue. The elder Johnson was pronounced dead and suffered "numerous" stab wounds, police said.
Appearing in court on Monday, prosecutors alleged that Mason Johnson attacked his father while he sat on the couch, stabbing him multiple times in the face and head, the Chicago Tribune reports. The two men struggled and Kenneth Johnson was able to grab the knife and stab his son. However, Mason soon regained the knife and continued his attack, according to the report.
