A local family is searching for their beloved pet who went missing on Friday, Oct. 19.

Winnie, a six-year-old rottweiler shepherd mix, slipped out of her yard Friday morning. She was last in the area of 103rd Street and Spaulding Avenue.

Her family is checking with area shelters and police departments, but if you have seen or heard anything about Winnie please let us know.

A few very kind teachers from Ridge Academy found Winnie this morning and she was just reunited with her family.

Thanks to all the Patch readers for passing this along. The school saw Winnie on Patch and we were able to connect them with her family.
