St. Rita Voted Favorite High School Marching Band
Our pre would-be South Side Irish Parade poll shows St. Rita is the neighborhood favorite when it comes to bands.

CHICAGO — As we know, the 2020 South Side Irish Parade did not march down Western Avenue in its traditional form earlier this month due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, but more than 100 entries were ready to go had it gone on.
Among the would-be entries were nine high school marching bands.
Bishop Noll, Brother Rice/Mother McAuley, Culver Academy, Marist, Morgan Park High School, Proviso West High School, Solario Academy High School, St. Rita and Bloom Township High School were all listed as entries in the parade lineup.

We wanted to find out which of the four local bands in Beverly, Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park is the favorite among parade fans. It turns out St. Rita received a majority of the support with 56 percent of the 347 votes cast on Twitter. Marist was second with 32 percent, then Brother Rice/Mother McAuley with 10 percent and Morgan Park with two percent.
All 4 will be marching in this weekend's @SSIrishParade. But which local high school band is the best?
