TSA at Midway Finds Handgun in Lemont Woman's Bag

A Lemont woman was arrested Sunday at Midway International Airport after it was discovered she was carrying a 9 mm handgun in her carry-on luggage, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Faith Du Bois, 58, of the 800 block of Woodcrest Lane, faces a felony charge of boarding an aircraft with a weapon, the report stated. She was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail Monday, the report added.

A Transportation Security Administration officer discovered the weapon and a magazine with seven bullets in it at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, when Du Bois’s carry-on bag went through the X-ray scanner, the report stated.
