BOLINGBROOK, IL — Local drivers who have become accustomed to turning left at the interchange at Interstate 55 and Weber Road will soon have to temporarily made adjustments as road work in the area continues.

The Illinois Department of Transportation resumed work on the $47.9 million Weber Road project in April and announced then that beginning June 10, left turns at the I-55 interchange would not be permitted for two weeks.

At that time, work will begin to install traffic signals and crossovers which will put Weber Road into the full diverging diamond configuration, IDOT officials said.
