Arts Council puts a new spin on Village Picnic's usual art contest
Bolingbrook Arts Exposition, a showcase for residents' artwork, debuts June 29 in Tunnel Art Gallery

The Bolingbrook Arts Council is excited to be helming the art installation at this year’s June 29 Village Picnic.
Formerly known as Art in the Park, the Arts Council is re-imagining this annual event as the Bolingbrook Arts Exposition, a showcase for residents’ art work.
The Arts Expo is a new platform intended to annually celebrate Bolingbrook artists. The Arts Council wants to create greater awareness as to the range of artistic talent in this community

Any Bolingbrook artist from student to enthusiast to professional is welcome to apply to showcase their work.
The one-day expo is in the open-air Tunnel Art Gallery, located through the mosaic entrance to the Performing Arts Center. Public viewing is noon- 4 p.m., during the Village Picnic. Artists are welcome to be present with their works to encourage discussion or answer questions about their art. However, it is not a requirement.

Artists can submit up to two (2) pieces of framed art no larger than 24” x 36”. Frames must have a wired hanger on the back, so that they can be hung in the Arts Council’s Tunnel Art Gallery.
Artists will fill out description cards. provided by the Arts Council, that provide details on the piece(s): medium, artist information, and price (if the piece is for sale). Any transactions the artist and the purchaser.
To encourage viewing and public participation, one “People’s Choice Award” will be given at the end of the picnic. The Arts Council has the right to refuse any submissions, due to content or limitations on space. Registration Deadline: June 20. Artists can register here

- Art Drop off at the Tunnel Gallery Town Center between 9-10am on June 29. No Late Entries, allowed.
-Art Pick up at the Tunnel Gallery at Town Center no later than 4:30pm on June 29th.
