Chain Restaurant Closes Last Illinois Location
A longtime local favorite, the restaurant's last day was July 8.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — BD's Mongolian Grill at the Promenade Bolingbrook closed its doors permanently on July 8, the business shared on its Facebook.
The business thanked its customers for their support and loyalty.
"As of July 8, our Bolingbrook location is permanently closed. It’s been an honor to serve [these] communities, and we are incredibly grateful for the memories made with you over the years. Thank you for being a part of our journey," the business said.

BD's Mongolian Grill is a create-your-own stir-fry restaurant chain that was first established in 1992. The Bolingbrook location's closure is among several recent closures for the chain, including the Naperville, which closed in 2024. Several locations in Michigan and Ohio have also closed over the last few years.
The Bolingbrook restaurant was the last one in Illinois, according to the business website.

The closure is the most recent restaurant closing at the Promenade Bolingbrook, which saw Danny's Pizza close in the spring after the shopping center said it owed more than $160,000 in rent.
Bar Louie, which had operated at the Promenade since 2007, also closed in April.
