Best Schools In Illinois: Valley View's Ranking

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Niche released its 2020 Best Schools list on Monday after looking at more than 94,000 public schools, 4,100 private schools and nearly 11,000 school districts across the country. Two Illinois schools even ranked among the top five in the nation. But how did Valley View Community Unit School District No. 365-U rank?

The district earned an overall grade of B+, which broke down as follows:

• College prep: A-
• Health and safety: B+

• Food: B

• Resources and facilities: B

Illinois' Best School Districts: 2020 Rankings

According to Niche, "Valley View Community Unit School District No. 365-U is an above average, public school district located in Romeoville, IL. It has 16,829 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 14 to 1. According to state test scores, 32% of students are at least proficient in math and 37% in reading."

Will County's rankings are as follows:

1. Lincoln Way Community High School District No. 210
2. Plainfield School District No. 202
3. Valley View Community Unit School District No. 365-U
4. Reed-Custer Community Unit School District 225U
5. Wilmington Community Unit School District No. 209-U
6. Joliet Township High School District No. 204
