BHS Names Rose Assistant Principal for Athletics, Activities

Robert Rose is replacing Alec Anderson who is leaving to take a similar position at Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

Robert Rose, who has been Assistant Director of Athletics and Activities at for almost three years, will become Assistant Principal for Athletics and Activities July 1, replacing Alec Anderson who is leaving to take a similar position at Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

Rose’s promotion was unanimously approved by the Board of Education Monday night.

A graduate of Bolingbrook High School and Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree, he holds a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from Concordia University. He joined the BHS staff as a social studies teacher in 2004 after teaching for three years at Thornwood High School.

Rose has been a member of the Driver Education Department at BHS since 2008 and has coached football throughout his eight-year career at BHS.

In addition to overseeing all activities at BHS, he will serve as athletic director for 23 interscholastic athletic programs.
