Bolingbrook Murder Victim Identified

The 23-year-old was fatally shot in front of his Ottawa Drive home early Saturday.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook police have identified the man shot to death in front of his Ottawa Drive home early Saturday. Police responded to the home to find the 23-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds at around 12:42 a.m.

Police identified the victim as Brandon L. Kines, the Herald-News reported. Police did not offer further details in the case but said there are "several persons of interest."

Kines was taken to an area hospital early Saturday before being pronounced dead at around 5:16 a.m.

Bolingbrook police told Patch they believe the shooting is a "targeted and isolated incident," noting that Kines' home was the site of a previous shooting in October 2018. No one was hurt in the October incident.
