Bolingbrook's Olympic Competitor Comes up Short in Triple Jump
Bolingbrook High School alum, Troy Davis, was 2 feet shy of winning a gold medal. See where he placed in the lineup.

A Bolingbrook native came up short of a medal this week in Rio de Janeiro's Olympic Games.
Representing Guyana in the global competition, Troy Doris was among 10 track and field athletes vying for gold in Tuesday's triple jump. He registered leaps of 16.88 meters and 16.63 meters before soaring 16.90 meters — about 55 1/2 feet — on his fifth attempt.
The impressive jumps still weren't enough to land him in the top three medal-winning slots. He placed seventh, overall. The International Olympic Committee ranked him sixth among global competitors prior to the 2016 games.
