Buckle Up: Bolingbrook Police Enforcement Coincides With Super Bowl Weekend

Bolingbrook police will be even more vigilant during its occupant protection campaign over Super Bowl Weekend.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — As residents get ready for the big game, the Bolingbrook Police Department is taking part in a safety campaign aimed at getting drivers and passengers to buckle up when they hit the road.

The Bolingbrook Police Department is participating in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Super Bowl occupant protection campaign, which urges drivers and passengers to buckle up, "Every trip. Every time." Motorists are also urged to double-check all child safety seats.

The safety campaign will run from Feb. 9 to 12.

"Our department will step up enforcement of occupant protection laws to help ensure the safety of all passengers in motor vehicles traveling in our community during the Super Bowl weekend," police said in a news release. "The Bolingbrook Police Department wants to increase awareness of the dangers associated with not buckling up."
