Charred Body Found at NIU was Bolingbrook Man
The Bolingbrook man had been accepted at Northern Illinois University last year.

Hasan Gill, 26, was found dead about 11 a.m. Tuesday. A source said he was at his family’s Bolingbrook home less than 12 hours earlier and was driven by an unknown person to the DeKalb university.
A message left at Gill’s family home was not immediately returned. A call to NIU Police Chief Thomas Phillips on the status of the investigation was referred to university spokesman Joe King. King did not respond to messages left for him.
A receptionist said DeKalb County Coroner Dennis Miller was not available Thursday morning but that the office would release a statement.
Gill had been admitted to NIU for the spring 2014 semester.
