Experiment Triggers Smoke Alarms, Sprinklers Damage Bolingbrook HS Classrooms
Smoke from an experiment in a second-floor classroom set off the alarm at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The sprinkler system at Bolingbrook High School damaged six classrooms after an experiment in one of the science classrooms set off the fire alarm on Wednesday, the District said.
Smoke from an experiment in a second-floor classroom set off the alarm at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. No students or staff were injured, but the activation of the sprinklers led to water damage in six classrooms, according to the District.
The Bolingbrook Fire Department told Patch it evacuated the building and determined the alarm was caused by the accidental activation of a sprinkler head. Firefighters shut down water to the affected area and reset the alarm system.
