DuPage Township distributes Toys For Tots

Over 200 gift items were given out Saturday to Will County Families

During December the DuPage Township Food Pantry was a Will County registration hub for the annual Toys for Totscampaign. One hundred twenty-eight toys for boys 12 and under were ordered while 115 for girls were requested. Siblings older than 13 were not forgotten as Township officials purchased, out of their own pockets, gifts and gift cards.

Toys were delivered to the Levy Center on Friday and then organized according to age by DuCAP volunteers and DuPage Township Trustee Terri Ransom.

On Saturday Township Trustee Ransom, members of the Township's Youth Committee, Township Clerk Barbara Parker and Township Collector Monty Jackson as well as teen volunteers from DuCAP distributed the gifts to residents who registered through the food pantry.

Photos with Santa were offered as well as hot chocolate and cookies.

The Township is grateful for all those behind the success of this year's campaign.
