Felon Arrested With Pistol Outside Bolingbrook Barbershop: Cops

Police said Michael C. Dale had a loaded Glock in his possession after he was seen acting erratically with the gun in his waistband.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 40-year-old convicted felon from Darien was arrested at a Bolingbrook barbershop on Tuesday after he was found to be in possession of a loaded pistol, police said.

Michael C. Dale was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition, and unlawful possession of a weapon by an armed and habitual criminal, police said.

Police said they were called to a barbershop in the 400 block of North Bolingbrook Drive at 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a person acting erratically with a handgun tucked into his waistband. Police arrived and found someone matching the description of the person in the barbershop.

Police said that the man exited the barbershop when officers arrived, and he was taken into custody. Dale was found to have a loaded Glock .40 caliber pistol, police said.

He was taken to the Will County Jail. According to court records, Dale has been arrested and charged three times previous to Tuesday, including in November when he was charged with aggravated domestic battery and strangling in connection to an incident in Joliet.
