1. Get One, Give One Haircuts at the Hair Cuttery

Children receiving a back-to-school haircut at the at 1196 W. Boughton Rd., during the first two weeks of August will be giving one back to a disadvantaged child in the community.
 
Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, will launch its 12th annual Share A Haircut event this year, donating one free haircut to a child in need in the community for every haircut purchased for a child 18 or younger from Aug.1-15. A total of 106 Hair Cuttery salons in Chicagoland will participate in the program.
 
 “We expect more than 60,000 haircuts to be donated in communities across the country to children in need,” said Dennis Ratner, Founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. 

2. Disney Channel Stars Visit Bolingbrook

Actors from the Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" were on hand at over the weekend to sign autographs for eager fans.

Excited kids in suburban Bolingbrook met their favorite television stars from a popular Disney Channel show.

Actors Kenton Duty and Caroline Sunshine were at the Promenade Bolinbrook. They play twin siblings named Gunther and Tinka on the Disney comedy series, "Shake It Up."

Radio Disney AM 1300 hosted and played the latest radio Disney hits. There was also interactive entertainment for kids.
