Fountaindale Library Seeks Clothing Donations For Homeless

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Fountaindale Public Library is seeking the community's help in assisting homeless men and women in Chicago. The library is seeking clothing donations, which will be given to area homeless ahead of the winter.

From now through Oct. 18, Fountaindale is seeking donations of new of gently used jeans as well as new packs of socks and underwear, the library posted on its Facebook page. The library is seeking adults sizes for both men and women.

The donations are for an effort called "Blue jeans for the homeless," which donates clothing and other items to homeless men and women living under bridges and viaducts of Chicago. For other ways to contribute to the cause, email bluejeansforthehomeless@gmail.com.

Donations can be dropped off at the lobby inside Fountaindale, 300 W. Briarcliff Rd. For more information, click here.
