Large Fight, Possible Gunshots At Bolingbrook Lions Carnival: Police
Police found no evidence of gunfire, but police said large groups of people did damage to Memorial Day decorations and jumped on vehicles.
BOLINGBROOK, IL —After Bolingbrook police were called to the Lions Club Memorial Day carnival Saturday night to respond to reports of a large fight, witnesses heard possible gunshots in the area, police said.
Police said in a news release that no one was injured, but that they are continuing to investigate the incident.
The reports of the fighting among several groups took place as the carnival was closing down on Saturday night, police said. The groups began to proceed to damage Memorial Day decorations at the carnival, jump on vehicles and cause traffic delays near Briarcliff Road near Canterbury Lane.

Officers responded quickly to the reports of gunshots and conducted a thorough search of the area, police said. No one was injured and no evidence of a the gunfire was found.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Bolingbrook Police Department at (630) 226-8620 or to remain anonymous, tips may be submitted at bolingbrookcrimestoppers.org. A cash reward may be issued if an arrest is made.
