Teen Killed In Bolingbrook Crash Identified: Coroner

BOLINGBROOK, IL — An 18-year-old who was killed Friday night when his vehicle struck a tree on Boughton Road has been identified as Rene Lugo Jr. of Bolingbrook, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

Officers responded to the crash near Boughton Road and Sunshine Drive around 8:30 p.m.

Police said responding officers found a 2012 Dodge pickup truck that had hit a parkway tree. Lugo, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Bolingbrook Police traffic unit is investigating the crash.
